Lots of Ants!

Wow!  Been a warm winter for the most part, but we did have a couple of cold nights.  Ants are being reported invading homes!

People are asking me why hibernating ants are coming inside!

Well, 1st of all ant DON”T HIBERNATE!  In the winter, they typically go subterranian basically because there is not much food above ground.  Before the rains we recently had, there was no water for them.  No food – no water – they’re going to go wherever they can find it.  Inside!

We’ve treated mid-winter for ants almost every year.  Not so often as in the spring when they are repopulating, but still yearly.
